Louisiana is getting ice and snow tomorrow and I have to work. Lord Jesus please protect me from all the southerners on the road who don’t know how to drive in this. Amen

We're supposed to get a good amount here tomorrow, so I just took the day off. Depending on the timing of the storm, I may be able to hit the driveway several times so I don't end up having to shovel it all in one go.

I was involved in a 96 car pileup a few years ago, but the difference was that we at least had a ditch on the one side that most of us were making liberal use of, which is why there were only 3 people hospitalized I believe, and they only had minor injuries too, nothing serious. Just a completely different outcome than above. But I still remember seeing people hit that ditch at 50-60 km/h and just steering to try to avoid the rest of the cars in the ditch. Meanwhile, I was stuck in the left lane by the median, praying there were no semi's coming up behind me and otherwise, just relaxing waiting to be hit. Which didn't take long...all of a few seconds, and fortunately it was just another SUV and a few cars behind him...no big trucks fortunately. They all got there before me. |

Getting 4-8 inches of snow today. Turning to rain and freezing overnight. Lovely.
My timberlands are getting a workout that’s for sure. To all you remote workers I’m envious on days like this ! |

Snowing again here. Never thought I'd say it but I'd rather be here than in San Antonio TX with my son's family right now! They haven't had power for over 36 hours, it's 41 degrees inside the house, irrigation pipes in the yard are bursting. We might have more snow but at least we have power.
