Germany used to get those freezing fogs. They were hell to drive in, but they produce some damn fine pics. Nicely done, DC.

Another shot that I particularly like of the M3 GT2
Jeff Koons BMW M3 GT2 Art Car at Art Basel Miami 2013 by ddk632, on Flickr I made a thread in the M3 picture forum here, about 40 pics there, including some of supermodel Karolina Kurkova and Jeff Koons ... And, not as exciting for anyone but me, there are a couple of me meeting Jeff Koons as well. http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=921538 I went to 3 BMW parties this week, each was awesome. Two with the white i8 and one with this M3 GT2. Still need to unload and process the 2 i8 party pics. There is some good stuff in there. I also got to pick the brains of the BMW i brand manager and got answers to questions about the car that no one else could tell me. Good times. Last edited by ddk632; 12-07-2013 at 07:26 PM.. Reason: Accidental link to thread about LSD (mechanical kind) fixed. |

David, that link takes me to a thread about LSD! (Limited Slip Differential). I like to see the additional images. (I know they're over in Flickr, but I might comment here).

Ok guys pretty much everyone in BMW marketing department and Octagon (the company that does the BMW events) knows I am obsessed with the i8. I think I pestered enough of them at the 3 events held this week!
Here's a favorite of mine with the LED taillights turned on at night. This was at the Braman BMW event in Midtown Miami where BMW brought the same white i8 which I saw in LA and then at the SLS Hotel in Miami the previous night. BTW I didn't even know about this event, but I met a fellow Bimmerposter at the SLS i8 event, who recognized me and said he knew about it from my posts... so he told me about the Braman event and I decided to check it out. It was pretty cool to meet a fellow 'poster and know that my threads do get seen even if sometimes there aren't many replies (the i8 forum is not exactly high volume). Light of the Future by ddk632, on Flickr Once I get through all of these, I'll make a thread or two in the i8 forum and link to it here... Last edited by ddk632; 12-07-2013 at 10:05 PM.. |

Closer to home, today I stopped by Coyote Hills Regional Park on the way home from Palo Alto. The park lies along the east bay in Fremont. Usually by this time of year the marsh would be teeming with hundreds of ducks and there would be raptors aplenty as well. Unfortunately we are in the middle of a huge drought and the marshes are bone dry. I did find some ducks swimming in a channel though, and got a few decent shots. I hope we get some rain soon!
