It’s been a little while for me too, a few years back (when I was buying/building/customizing) the Timneys were a single stage trigger, some people like them some don’t, I’m used to them and they are very crisp with a clean break and a nice reset, I have a Geiselle S3G in one of my ars, that thing is crazy

I really need to get to the range again. Car life has been taking over.

Haven’t been to the range or the woods in a while either dealing with car issues. Now I’m ready to get back into shooting this fall. Yesterday I just bought 400 rounds of 168gn .308 Federal Gold Medal Match for my M1A.

Been dealing with house issues and need to do the same. Have a good amount of ammo, but will probably go buy more for the range since I’ll need to get on the stupid background check for ammo list sooner rather than later because CA is mental. might as well look at picking up a Ruger pcc9 at the same time

I never thought of myself as a trigger snob, but I seem to have modified or upgraded the trigger on almost every firearm I own. My favorite is the 1.5 lb pull Timney on my bolt action .308. So light and crisp! I have a Rock River Arms NM 2-stage in one AR and it's a good trigger, very predictable. My Fostech Echo binary trigger definitely doesn't have the best single fire feel to it, but it's fun in binary mode!

I've also updated all the springs + added the Grayguns reset kit to the trigger on my HK P30. While it's a very well built handgun, the trigger reset was a mile long from the factory. Shoots much better now.

And I picked up a new carry pistol yesterday to replace the Walther PPS I've been carrying for years. I hear the trigger is pretty good, so I'll hit the range soon and find out.

Yep, thats how it happens. You start by tinkering with one...and you can immediately tell the difference between good and not so good, before you know it you pick up a cool new gun at the gun shop, love it, but order trigger parts before you even get it home.

On a side note, I am very tempted by a Springfield Professional 1911...I really don't need one...I really don't need most of my guns...humm

I have to take a look at that. I haven't ever seen that trigger before. Definitely interesting look to them.

Two questions:
1. Hows that straight trigger feels for shooting, isn't that a more inconvenient feeling?
2. Did the ejected shells damaged the housing behind the window?

I have a Geissele SSA on my Colt HBAR and love it. It’s an exact model minus the auto sear of the USGI SOPMOD trigger that Geiselle supply’s to our Troops.

The straight trigger just feels different. It's not inconvenient feeling. It's a personal preference. Some people feel that the straight trigger feels more precise for trigger pull crispness. Not sure if that's due to the limit amount of surface space you contact your finger to trigger due to being flat.

For me I could go either way. It's definitely not uncomfortable to shoot a flat trigger. I can shoot either one accurately.

Not my rifle, but I get dings like that on some of my rifles due to shell deflection.

The benefit of a straight trigger is the "feeling" of a lighter trigger pull weight. It also gives you a more consistent straight trigger pull since you finger isn't rolling like a curved trigger. Kind of hard to explain but I hope you under stand what I mean.

Put some electrical tape or velcro on it.

I have gone through a lot of triggers in my ARs. My 2 favorite ones are my Hyprfire Comp trigger that is on my 3 gun AR and the CMC single stage straight trigger that is on all other of my ARs. I do have one Geissele 2 stage on my 308 AR for long range but will be replaced soon for a CMC 2 stage.

1. Personally I like the flat trigger. It's really a matter of taste. The Elf trigger I dropped in offers a curved version if that's what is preferred.

2. Yes. Even though this is my high-end, (and softest-possible-recoil) build, I don't want it to look like a show piece. I like that it shows I'm putting rounds through it.
