Oh my. I damn sure wouldn't be buying an early version of this thing. Wait a year or two for them to iron crap like this out. Nissan may have cut corners all over the place to achieve their crazy-low price goals. Might take some time for some of it to show up.
A lot of these making the Auto Shows are still pre-production models. Could be a a result of that.

Most certainly is the case. And a out of place stitch would not deter me if I'm on the market for a 400hp good looking new Sports Car.

Yeah, I noticed the poopy stitching on the red interior for that part of the door with a different car last month. The insane hi-res images I've seen of both the blue and black interiors don't really seem to have the problem or it's just way more noticeable on red. I plan on waiting a little while to purchase one anyway and probably won't get red, but will definitely check out that area on the car I'm buying to see what it looks like before I buy it.

Keeping my eye on this as my hopes of the next Mazda 6 coming with 6MT is getting dimmer by the day. Hopefully the ride qualityis better than the 350/370Z, I couldn’t live with either of those as a daily driver. Sub 50k for the performance trim isn’t bad for 400 ponies.

Man you guys nit pick. That’s something I likely never would have noticed. Even if it’s not perfect does it really ruin the car for you?

There is no convertible confirmed yet. Only non-official renders.

I agree. The interior is by far the lowest priority for me when shopping for a sporty car. Unless there's a legitimate ergonomics issue that makes the car uncomfortable for me to drive, I'm fine with whatever the interior looks like. I've never chosen a worse driving car over a better driving car because of better interior materials quality or features.

Especially in a car like the Z, that's ridiculous to me. I think the interior looks great as a whole. My 350z, R8, S4, M3, and STI were all purchased towards the end of their respective generation's lifecycles, and each interior was generally considered outdated at the time, and yet I never felt that way about any of them. They were all perfectly acceptable to me.

Obviously there are always exceptions. For example I think the interior in the new generation GTI/Golf R has a considerable usability concern that many people including myself might have a hard time embracing. But for something as minuscule as stitching on a 45k car, lighten up.

Facts man....thats awesome you have an R8, I really hope I can own one one day especially with a 6 MT. But any R8 is a goal of mine at some point.

No, it doesn't. Not sure how me wanting to double-check it pre-purchase means that it ruins the car for me

Is that 2028? This remains a stupid lead up for a facelift of what's essentially a 20 year old chassis.

Where did you get 2028? That's supposed to be for THIS year according to the thread linked and folks that work for Nissan dealers.

Although one guy who works for a Canadian dealer said his GM was in San Diego last week with Nissan execs and they still won't commit to production/release/prices.

I'm not planning on doing anything until toward the end of the year anyway, so no biggie for me.

I was just teasing. This car feels like it's already at the end of its lifecycle and it's not even out yet. My car sank on the Felicity Ace this morning, I'm just grouchy.

I have to admit this is a lot of hype for what's essentially an old car that's fitted with a modern drivetrain.

Ouch, that's a bummer! Yeah, trust me. I'm very interested in this car as well.

Although I still might wait until next year to do anything. I'm curious to see what the economy is going to do this year in regards to inflation and housing prices.

I had another one that was on the upper floor of my work parking garage when the structure collapsed. My VWs are safer with me in them than left on their own. That's my silver GTI between the Lexus and 4Runner.

I realize I should probably buy any other brand.

My M Coupe was rear ended three different times, all of which I'd been stopped at least 15 seconds and was fully on the brake. My wife's 135i was hit in the parking lot moments after we'd signed the paper work on the next car. That car was an X1 35i and that hit a telephone pole when kids in a stolen car hit her.

We're a little cursed, a ship burning and sinking doesn't even seem that weird to me.
