Yeah - was a very unexpected part of Face ID, but one that I really appreciate.

One thing I don't like however is that DND mode is no longer displayed on the status bar anywhere - slightly annoying.

Yeah - it's just not visible on the top of the screen like it used to be when turned on.

No because of the notch there is not enough room so you have to swipe down from the upper right corner to see it in control center. Same with the battery percentage. That will be cool if the next iPhone does away with the notch and the Face ID sensors can be mounted behind the OLED display. They should also integrate iris scanning so it can't be fooled by a twin like the galaxy s8

The speaker is also in the notch, so even if they could put the sensors behind the screen there would be some kind of notch.

The speaker is small and you could just have small bezels at the top and bottom for front firing speakers.

You mean they should integrate iris scanning so it can be fooled by a picture like the Samsung Galaxy S8?

Jokes aside, they aren't going to implement an inferior technology for an extremely rare scenario like twins. If you have such a bad relationship with your twin that you have to worry about them locking your phone, you need to reevaluate your life.

So far I love it, no complaints... could be a tiny bit smaller but otherwise awesome.

I was thinking it could be a tad bigger, but overall no complaints, enjoying the move back to iOS. FaceID didn't take too long to get used to and works pretty good imo.

After having the phone over the weekend I love it. The phone could be a little bigger at times its hard to hold onto and reach the top left of the screen, but its something I can get used to.

If anyone was wondering how to display the battery percentage just pull down on the upper right side of the screen where your battery is. There isnt an option to show battery percentage, unfortunately.

make sure you update to ios 11.1 as some (including mine) were shipped with 11.0.1... this update gives you reachability which is one of the most important accessibility features

I got 256. Most people seem to be going for that. It may actually be faster than the 64 as was the case with the 7 due to Apple using faster flash memory in the larger memory iPhone models

Yeah I had to update mine didn't know they didn't have reachability. Also the latest update fixes the KRACK vulnerability in the WiFi.

I use google photos for unlimited storage, though it lowers the quality of the photos somewhat.

That disappointing. Has anyone tried amazon? Right now I use flickr, but only for my photography photos, not family.
