For a long time i used to make a distinction between the wife being friends with single guys vs married guys. I wasn't thrilled about her being pals with single guys. Then i realized it makes zero difference. If she's gonna take it further than friends, just by odds, it's more likely to be a married guy anyway.

So i stopped worrying about it have been happier for it. Like wise, she's a very confident woman and doesn't worry about me being friends with married or single women. She told me a long time ago, "You're going to do what you're going to do, me worrying about it isn't going to stop you." For the past 13 years, my closest friend has been a girl, she was single when we met, then BF, now married with kids. Wife even assumes my friend knows more about me than she does, which isn't true, but funny to me anyway. I know it's possible so long as you can control yourselves.

There's only one female i'm friends with where we've both questioned our self control abilities, but once that was realized, we decided to keep a bit more distance between us while still remaining friends. Still friends, still benefiting from that friendship.
