Yes, but I think a lot of that answer comes from being military and having that self control and situational awareness ingrained into my everyday life. I might struggle internally and need to focus on keeping composure with some of the shit that gets said to officers.

A good friend of mine moved to AZ a few years back and is now a police officer, and he keeps trying to talk me into moving down there and going to the academy.

Being in the Nat'l Guard in MN and dealing with the state activations in the past year, and having many friends that are peace officers as civilian occupations, I have a lot of respect for what our officers do.

Our rules and responses to dangerous situations are different. Coming from within a combat brigade I can see how military service members being in civilian police officer positions can be iffy. Which muscle memory response is going to take over in a situation? Anytime we are outside the wire the game is the same as for officers, anyone could be wanting to harm or kill you at any time, and you always need to be on your guard. Difference is we can (usually) show/use force before police officers can. I don't want to get into the details of ROE, but hostile intent is viewed differently and escalation of force is different. But if we break those rules it becomes an international incident.

Ooooo those pupils are soooo dilated. More dilated than they should be given the amount of light. What are you on? A stimulant? A hallucinogen? It's not marijuana because your eyes aren't red and you're not experiencing ptosis…..nor are your membranes dry.

Seriously though, did the eye doctor dilate you?

Have you had the procedure where they give you an IV so they can see if your retina is leaking? That stuff is a wicked diuretic. I peed for an entire day

I was fully expecting to have the glowing pee. I wanted to write my name in the backyard tonight

Today, no needles or anything. The new camera is dark blue and must use some no-visible wave length. Once focused, a red line scrolls down the screen and on to the other eye

Officer Michael Fanone is a hero

as are his colleagues tasked to protect the Capitol that day. I have seen him speak before but this hearing today was very powerful. RESPECT.

The 4:25 mark and comment succinctly describes everything.

What is the legal limit for the length of a knife that you can possess let's say in your car. I searched for New York State but most of the information was based on New York City. You can't carry a freaking tooth pick a New York City legally

New York State Penal Law section 265 will give you headaches:

Yeah, even the information I found a New York City was confusing.

There's no length limit outside of NYC and western cities.
