Simply beautiful morning here. Bright sun, no wind, no fog. 60, projected high of 72.
On the iron horse the last two days. Still too cold to wear only a vest at dawn, but the side vents are open on the jacket.

High today is 98°F. It's creeping up there. Saturday and Sunday are now forecasted to be 101°F.

The day started pretty good temperature wise (61°F/16°F) but the humidity @ 94% ruined the day...

Garage roof only half on so, severe thunderstorms, gusty winds and chance of hail tonight. whoo-hoo! Spend a couple hours moving roofers stuff in garage so I can get the truck in. I don't mind the truck getting natures wash job but I do mind hail damage.
Moral of story (Do not use spray foam insulation, it's all fun and games until you have to resheet some of the roof over finished spaces) Last edited by Car-Addicted; 07-15-2023 at 07:46 PM.. |

Canadian wildfire smoke is hitting us again today. AQI of 130+. We went for a walk, but riding outside is out of the question. Plus, one of our bozo neighbors decided this would be a good day to have a smokey fire in his backyard. Luckily he's downwind from us today.

The Ferengi language (fro Star Trek) has 178 different words for rain...and none for crisp.
Another 1.30" of rain in my gauge since midnight. Our basement sump pump has been cycling on and off for over a week now, and there has been thunderstorms on my 50-mile weather radar map almost continuously for the entire month of July except for one nice day. We're under another air quality alert for PM2.5 tomorrow, so I guess it isn't going to rain.....

Just learned that 5 people died in flash flood yesterday evening at Washington Crossing, PA. I was biking there at noon and there was no sign of danger. News reported 7" in 45 minutes at 6:30 pm...

How much do you think it would cost to send a bucket or two to Sublimity, Oregon? Actually, I'd be ecstatic to get a thousand buckets!
OK, fine -- cost-prohibitive...

Sanbao, China recorded 52.2C yesterday (125.6F) and the rest of the week doesn't look to great either.
Can be grateful for the rain and meh weather I've been seeing these last couple weeks. |

If I play my cards right and use my charms, I might be able to send you a water bomber full of sweet water over your house at half price.
