Music in stores, doctor's office, bank, food court, every-freakin'-where you go. Who decided Americans need to have non-stop background music everywhere? The main grocery store here plays oldies. Drives me nuts when I go there and get some stupid Abba song stuck in my head.

In most cases, I don't know what's worse... Having some earworm to at least distract you from an unpleasant task (if you are doing an unpleasant task), or it's as silent as a funeral and all you can think of, for instance is how the only reason you're at the *%$(& bank in that @*! line is to pay the #&$ IRS to dump tons of money into a region that we really have no business occupying while our economy still hasn't recovered 100% and almost none of it goes to things that matter, like getting the crazy homeless people off the street or the damned pothole that has been there for 3 months, on a route you have to invariably take every morning .

When supermarkets have "3-day only!" items, like recently T-bone or porterhouse steak for $5.99/lb (that used to be expensive, but not today). You go there as a result, and they do have it, only it's $11.99/lb.

I just have to wonder how they can repeatedly do it, I mean I drive a BMW so $5.99/lb. or $11.99/lb. isn't a huge difference to me, I don't mind paying an extra $15, I blow my nose with $50's.

Stuck in NashVegas where my only choices for coffee are Bongo Java and Dunkin Donuts. Too many people at Bongo Java, so I had to resort to DD. I hate weak-ass coffee. No wonder they dump a ton of sugar in this crap. It tastes like old dishwater without it.

Does McDonalds serve coffee out there? They've made a huge push to expand their McCafe offerings and the quality of coffee is great. Just another option for ya.
