Of course the car is completely develloped to VER wishes and talents because he is the 1st driver, but that happens at every team where one is the 2nd driver.
Hmm, ask his teammate if he feels the same way as you do.

There is supporting a driver because he is your countryman, posting comments a couple of time a day.
But obsessively repeating the same mantra (party mode/DAS etc) dozens of times a week doesn't seem at all healthy to me.

As I've said many times, Sir Lewis has evolved into a deadly Senna-Prost combination who absolutely slays on the track no matter the circumstances 95% of the time. This combined with the might of the works Mercedes team is a juggernaut that may hiccup from time to time but is, nevertheless, unstoppable.

This is a LONG season and Max has never had a championship challenge, let alone, one that goes to the wire. Sir Lewis has been in 12 and has won 7. He lost a further 2 by less than 6 points in aggregate and yet another through horrible McLaren reliability.

He has come back from behind to win 3 of his championships...2 vs Ferrari and 1 vs his team mate.

His history and credentials are unassailable.

Sit back, relax, and let it unfold.
HAM's rookie year was 2007 and he lost the WDC by ONE POINT....
As stated in MKSixer's post....stay tuned:

Pos Driver Pts
1 Kimi Räikkönen 110
2 Lewis Hamilton 109
3 Fernando Alonso 109

As much as I was a Ferrari fan in 2007, the reality is the Team philosophy of Ferrari vs McLaren, was a significant reason Kimi won. If McLaren had followed the same philosophy, either Alonso or Lewis would have won the WDC without doubt.

Kinda like the team philosophy MB is using now

I remember Alonzo v HAM battles, that was great high drama F1.

I dont think so. Bottas is just not the same caliber as Lewis.

NOW, if MB actually pairs Max with Lewis, THAT would be most excellent.

The gearbox glitch at the last race at Brazil also cost Hamilton the WDC.
But yes, Alonso was right when he said that Rons decision not to make him the #1 driver at McLaren also contributed to the lost WDC...although making Hamilton the #1 driver would have been the pragmatic choice.

I meant MB is currently using Ferrari's team philosophy (RAI + MAS)

Yes, HAM v VER would be epic and brutal, bring it!!!

Can't imagine qualifying would be much different...Bottas has a pretty decent single lap pace and Verstappen seems to struggle getting poles even when in the obviously faster car.
The races would most likely be closer but Hamilton would still come out ahead IMO.

As much as Lewis is definitely most talented, making a rookie over a 2 time Champion as the #1 Driver would have most definitely not have been the pragmatic choice at that time. I certainly do not think any F1 Manager at that time would have made that choice.

I still won't stipulate VER has a faster car much less obviously faster.

Different tracks suit the MB or RB better. I don't think we will find out who has the faster car till mid-season or later IMO. Plus the "Bendy wing" thing has to be sorted.

Obviously faster in my book is when MS was dominating in the Ferrari early 2000-2004 where it was already boring. I frankly don't see how I can apply that adjective to RB right now.

Perhaps...but Hamilton was ahead of Alonso on points for the majority of the season. He was the smarter choice for #1 driver.

True BUT, I'm not going to slam him and proclaim everyone else a Saint. Let's just say a good number just did not get caught. That's part of the nature of racing in general, not just F1. Not all BUT a number of racers do engage in them since time immemorial, even though I am most certainly not justifying it.

LMAO, what? A handful of incidents is half his career now?

I love how people like to bring up the fact that Michael was such a cheat or dirty driver. But hardly anyone, and very often the same people that say this don't say shit about Senna. Michael did a handful of bad things over the course of an almost 20 year career. Senna was the same. But, to claim either of them 'cheated' for the majority of their career is idiotic.
