Every time I hear Charles on the radio, he just sounds defeated now. It's really sad to see. It appears to me that they're pushing Carlos ahead of Charles.

My gut says we are now in an era dominated by Max, he’s clearly the class of the field in race craft and he has the total backing of the team, and more so, one that is competent. If the cars have similar performance then he’s going to win the battle more often than not. All he needs is a car that is competitive to win, unlike the RB in the early 2010s and the Merc in the hybrid era that had clear and away the best car.

Charles may have the talent to possibly beat him, but he’s currently more prone to mental errors so hopefully he gets that under control with more years under him like Max has. Plus he’s hampered by the imbeciles that comprise the brain trust. Looks like my Ferrari fandom will keep me continuing to suffer for the foreseeable future.

That's what I am thinking as well. Charles is so 'I wanna get out of my car and sit in the bathroom for 2 hours' the last few races.

Given the way this season is going right now for Ferrari, I really think they're gearing up full force on 2023 and they're probably going to be insanely hard to beat next year but they may have to compete against Mercedes as well. MB will still be behind a year but I think they're strong enough of a team to where if they had a good platform redesign, they'll be right back fighting.

Anyone have telemetry data on Max’s heartrate… probably never peaked above 120bpm. That was actually silly how easy that was for him. RedBull’s V6 is firing on all 8 cylinders now. Looks like Max is heading toward locking in his first won championship! (Zing!)

Ferrari needs to dump these data strategists that don’t understand racing. Probably better off at this point just letting Charles and Carlos do the strategy from the car… the two drivers legitimately have a better record on strategy so far this season.

MB still has car woes, but their excellent reliability and two solid drivers are pretty much a lock for 2nd in constructors. It’s a long way off to 2026…

Happy for Alonso & Albon today.
