The little one on the right looks familiar but I can't remember her name. Some research might place her but I'm too lazy. lol

Me, too. Haven't had it since I retired. The campus snack bar had it now and then. Might have to try my hand at baking some.

Laugh In!
Would you believe... I watched Laugh In on a 16" B & W TV inside a bunker 3 miles from the Cambodian border, December 1969? Rats, cockroaches and all. LOL! We sure loved Goldie Hahn, not to mention the laughs from Tyrone F. Horneigh!

You remember buying beer, cigarettes and placing a bet at a shady bar for my grandpa while he waited in the car.
He was paralyzed and it was a tough for him to get in and out of the car. I got some pork rinds, shot glass of beer and the change for my troubles. I was 10 years old.

You bought beer off the shelf instead of from the cooler because room temp beer was cheaper.

This was mid-70s. I was reading an article about modern refrigeration the other day. They also commented on how expensive it used to be for stores to run refrigerated sections and that cold beer and soda was priced higher because of it. Most stores had a few refrigerated areas for milk and meat and such. Now even gas station marts have entire walls of refrigerated shelving. If I recall correctly, the difference in price wasn't huge. Maybe a buck. But when you and your buddies were pooling your change to come up with a couple of dollars for a 6-pack, it made a difference.

The stores used to do the same thing with soda and other beverages, charging extra if it came from the refrigerator versus a warm shelf.....
