Watched the Vanished.

A movie about an urban legend of vanished lighthouse keepers.

I heard the story before, but I am pretty sure everything in the movie is made up as there was no official evidence that something happened to them beyond a potential storm could have literally blown them off a cliff.

I watched it on Sunday. It was indeed an enjoyable movie. Different settings vs most movies. Pretty unique IMO.

I have AMC A-List and never buy anything from concession. It basically costs me gas, time, and the monthly subscription fee of $25 or so.

That sounds great, but can you do this in the theater.

Kidding aside, like I said above, I can appreciate the theater experience but I'd rather kick back at home in my underwear, if I choose. And I don't have to go anywhere. That's just me.

Problem is now the movies are taking too long to come to streaming/amazon, and when they are they're now starting at buy for $19.99 only and then wait even longer for the $5 rental to finally happen.

Yep, agree to a certain point, but I wait till they are $3.99 or maybe $6.99 (or even free). There is so much to watch these days I can occupy myself and wait for a particular movie to come to me at a price I want to pay. Not for everyone but I'm in no hurry.

Agreed, I used to love going to the theatre to see a movie on the big screen. I'd usually go on a weeknight because the crowds were a pain. I just don't have any desire anymore.

Pretty close to it. AMCs have reclining seats and some are even heated. I’ve seen people bringing in blankets and got really comfortable. Haha it is a bit of a commitment though because you’ll have to take time to get ready, drive there and back, plus movie time, etc. I just love going to the movies and like watching movies as they come out so it works for me. So far this year, I’ve gone to the movies 40 times, and that doesn’t include time when I’m not in town. Otherwise, that number would be higher.

I'm with you. I used to go every week even if the selections weren't that great. Not anymore. Happy to watch from home.

Curious to get your take. I just watched it on Xfinity because I chose to watch Barbarian over it in theaters. I made the right choice. Smile started off well but ended super lame.
