The M5 should be an emotional car. Not sure it’s that anymore - at least not the emotions one would expect. On the upside, it passes emissions and noise regs and should understeer safely when pushed

Looks very ordinary to me. And holy cow it’s so quiet. Sounds like a Tesla to me.

Car looks great imo. Wonder if there’s a way to double down on the lack of spirited exhaust note and make it super silent. Might as well go the other way.
Weight is hard to hide.

They definitely need a new head of design. It’s unfortunate that one of the best in the industry has just been scooped up by Audi. RS6 will look a million times better, unlike this barge.

So far the G90 is a big no for me. I could see a G99 in frozen black being fire though.

Haha, that's the classic tell me you hate the design without telling me you hate the design.

I'm sure it performs very well in a straight line and is super comfortable (with hopefully no squeaky brakes), however it seems to be an XM sedan in disguise. The extra power will most likely be canceled out by the weight. I know it's not an apples to apples comparison, but the Porsche GTS 4 t-hybrid that just launched seemed do it with only 100 or so lbs added (I saw the Carwow video yesterday) so I imagine they could have done a little better if there wasn't such a push to get it out. I'm in R&D and our Marketing and Regulatory does the same in my global company (especially with the EU Commission restrictions) then we fix any issues later if any arise. Funny, there never seems to be any time with Marketing to do things right the 1st time, however amazingly they seem to find time to do them twice (or 3x+ post launch). Go figure.

Can someone explain the Hybrid technology. Will we have plugin to charge the electric battery to realize the full 717 HP and if so how often do we need to charge it? Does it charge the battery while driving, from wheels?
