For me the standard grill transforms the front end - makes it look like a BMW. But that grill locks me out of heated and cooled seats???? Give me exec with extended shadowline delete (like you can on M3) and I’d be thrilled.
Side note - where’s the highway assistant?? |

On a lease they don't cost as much since you just pay for the depreciation. So an $8500 option becomes more like $4250. Factor in they make less noise and zero dust, it's worth it to me. My R8 has CCB and I have put 2200 miles on it and never washed the wheels once. You can wipe the wheels with white gloves and not get a speck of dirt on them. |

Note that is not the "Diamond" B&W. So it is probably a step down. It is not clear if that means a lesser head unit, speakers, cosmetics, just a name change, or all of the above.
As others have said overall the G60/G90 platforms are de-featured compared to the G30. Whether that is because of cost cutting, people just not selecting those options enough to justify development, or things that weren't ready in time but are coming (like G90 full leather) is also not clear. |

not even just the looks…just like the whole package, especially after the F90, which was honestly the best car BMW was making (behind the M2 arguably)

Agreed. I think the F90 might have been the greatest car BMW ever built. Certainly from a performance standpoint.
When my F90 lease was running out I tried finding another BMW but nothing inspired me. So I bought a 2023 R8 and leased a 2023 S8. The S8 is a nice car but honestly both BMW and Mercedes drive better, at least on the highway. But BMW didn't have anything cool on the roster and it would have been really hard to find an S580 with the options I wanted. So Audi won that battle. And clearly BMW has nothing like the R8. That's just a whole different level of coolness. |

RS6 will be gone after this year. It's coming back as the RS7 Avant. Renders looks really good, and it's going to be a V8 ICE. I'll be watching that closely for my S8 lease replacement which comes up in Sept 2026.

i can almost assure you that you will not feel a difference in handling with ccbs on a car this heavy. you don't even get forged wheels so you'll have to swap those out to probably start feeling a difference and even then it will only help with braking.

No carbon bucket option?? Interesting that this would be available on the M8, but not the M5. Wonder if this will be an option on the wagons.
