One thing BMW needs to do is widen the Fenders on this animal! Would look so aggressive with widened fenders.

Agree. I doubt the real final product will look beaveresque.

The problem isn't this view. It's the back.

WTF happened to BMW’s design ethos?! So vanilla. Horrible.

In addition to what others have said; weight, battery life, complexity, resale, maintenance, etc., there is also the handling of the plug-in-hybrid. It needs special maintenance to maintain the battery and the car. It needs to be fully charged regularly then fully deplete the battery even if you store the car for winter.

I know we're all aware that we're playing a guessing game here, but why is everyone so caught up with differences in pictures and renders?

Every time a new LCI or full generation is released, we get to see like seven different artistic renditions and concept drawings, none of which actually end up looking more than 50% like the final car.

You can see official BMW sketches if you google "BMW Press Group Concept Sketches". Not a single one of them looks like the final product.

I’m getting a mix of ford Taurus SHO and Honda accord vibes with this. Something seems off, but sure I’ll love it when the real images come out.

No BMW, please Do Not widen the fenders on the M5. This is an executive sedan, and if you are a buyer who wants wide flared fenders get an M2 or M4.

Oh, and don’t forget about the weight. By the way, is anyone thinking about how much this “beast” will weigh? Yes, no matter how much you might like the way it looks or how it performs, one of the defining characteristics of this generation will be the weight. We know it will be 5300-5400 lbs. That’s just insane for an M car but then we can look to the X///M that is a tick over 6000 lbs and left off the sunroof because it added too much weight. Did I mention the weight of this car? Colin Chapman said “simplify and add lightness”. You may think this 50 year old phrase is passé but show me anyone serious about motorsports that doesn’t try to achieve this. Yeah this M5 is for the road more than the track but it still weighs too much. I’m still intrigued by the touring though.

It’s just too big and too tall. Seating position is too high. It’s a cool car, it’s just disappointing as a 5 series. This is the case for the G60 and the G90.

I completely disagree brother, it’s an M car (supposed to be aggressive looking), if you want an “executive” sedan get an i5 M60 or better yet a 7 or i7
