It pains me to say but I'd pick an RS6 Performance over the G99 every time.
G9x as a whole is a big disappointment to me.

Why is Matt from Carwow not doing any or getting any love?
I can’t wait for someone to do F90 vs G90 drag for fun. I made fun of the touring so much a year ago and now I real like it better than the sedan. Haha. Next M5 might be the touring 😂 |

Along the same lines, maybe it wasn’t a BMW marketing funds question and they did get invited as well and just couldn’t/didn’t want to fit the trip into their schedules for 90 minutes with the car and will just do an in-depth review once they can get a local car. It is very handsome looking. I’ve driven one recently. The most dated aspect of the vehicle is the technology. Less that it is spartan and more that it is slow and clunky. I like that the tech is simple in my Audi. One of the aspects Audi nailed, in their prior generation at least, was a cockpit where the driver can almost immediately intuit what to do to engage some function.
So the fundamentals of the cockpit and cabin are strong. It is really just that the infotainment is sort of like a Nintendo Switch in 2024. It had its day but that passed in the 2010s. It just is not as snappy as MBUX or iDrive 8+. Ironically, I think both the Nintendo and Audi infotainment are running on Nvidia SOCs. Last edited by rgw; Yesterday at 08:17 AM.. |

Not to mention going to be significantly redesigned really soon.
Cost more, outdated tech inside and out, less power and typical audi maintenance nightmare. I love the RS6 but there is no way to justify dropping 145-155K on a aging car now assuming dealers aren't still asking ADM price.

Throttle House has 3.1 million subscribers to Straight Pipes 1.75. That 3.1 million is higher than 95% of the list on the first page. Most have under 1 million subs. All I'm saying is I feel like they were either not invited...or had a scheduling issue. |

If it can’t do this, then hard pass. It’s a station wagon, right?
