By now it might. It started out based on the E91 3er Touring and it was wonderful!!! I love the E84 X1!!! These days it’s very nice car, but in reality it’s the least BMW of all the BMWs produced today in that it’s an SUV and it’s FWD. It may be xDrive technically, but unlike RWD based xDrive BMWs unless front wheel slip is detected it’s FWD 100% of the time. And we won’t mention its motor is mounted sideways and it has a transaxle.

I suspect the X1 has more space than the 3 by virtue of layout. A transverse 4 cylinder takes up WAY less length than an iniine 6 (and even if you get a base 3 with the same B48 from the X1, it's sized to hold the I6), and so the rest of that space can be reconfigured for passenger space. No idea about the length on them though. I'd absolutely have a X1 M35i over a 330i though.

Per Google, X1 is longer and taller, but 330 is wider. So more space in X1.

Im interested in the X1 M35, might have to swing by the dealer to check them out. I’d like a more spacious car without going full sedan or mid suv. My M340 would be perfect if it was just slightly bigger for me. It’s my daily driver so I don’t use the rear seats often or the passenger.
