I hate them with a passion and frankly I blame the fucking people who buy/fall for their shit. I mean someone has to be sending them $$ or they would stop.

On my business line I get 1-2 calls every single day from the same assholes telling me that my google listing is about to expire or some shit. Every single day. I have answered and told them I know very well how google works and a. my listing is not expiring or whatever bs they are claiming and b. I could set it up completely free since google does not charge for that. They hang up and call again 5 min later from another number. I have reported them more times than I care to remember. Nothing.

On my personal line I get a ton of political text and the number of people who have apparently moved next to my house and wish to make me a cash offer is insane. Who would of thought all of my neighbors were sleazy real-estate investors.

We do IVR and use real agents, mostly real agents as IVR has atrocious response rates. And for something like booking people for a free covid test, yeah that needs real people.

Back when we had a land line and actual people actually called, I would adopt a super sleezy voice and ask them what they were wearing. That usually ended the call pronto! These days I just don’t answer. If its someone I know calling from an unknown number they’ll leave a message.

Maybe you're a good guy, maybe you're not. But with all due respect, companies like yours should be out of business and sued to the max for harassment, tortious interference, and emotional distress. If I wanted to be contacted by you, I would have let you know. If I wanted to respond to a survey or post my opinions, I would do it online like I'm doing now.

Web polling is too small a universe for accurate results and if we just interviewed folks who ask to be interviewed we are going to get a pretty serious skew in results.

Either way, if people have not consented or opted in, that's an invasion of privacy, harassment, emotional distress, and tortious interference of whatever else they are doing. I think everyone in the US would be more than happy not to have poll results (which are frequently wrong anyway) if it meant no more spam calls.

I tripped while running to answer my emergency on-call phone from work (that is not used for any other reason whatsoever), and broke my wrist. Missed 6 weeks of work, plus the medical bills and pain/suffering. Do you know Rachel from Card Member Service's legal address? My lawyers want to serve her with a billion dollar suit, to recover damages from her "just a phone call" call.....
