I watched the video, and it's pretty clear the GTR was done in by the high ambient temperatures, but I can see the point about the better driver feedback going to the C7, and that's where IMO it really counts. No one here is going to drive either of these cars around a track near their limits. It's how the car feels everyday while driving it that will either keep you entertained, or not.
It's amazing that GM has built a car so good at half the price of a 991, or GTR. The Z06 is going to be an incredible machine.

They tell me the GTR needs soy sauce instead of engine oil, I ask them how they like the oxcart technology leaf spring suspension. Some people take it way too seriously though. Mostly the bench racers from IMO Like Gonzo said... it is what it is ... whatever it is. |

Yeah I don't see why the review is so horrible.
It basically tells what we all know already. The GT-R with its incredible electronic and AWD system gives it the ability to put up great numbers. The only area the 'Vette was able to beat it was in the skidpad. But, the Corvette(and especially the Stingray) involves the driver better. It's not a knock against the GT-R, but it is a fact. The GT-R is a great example of what technology can do to help improve the performance of the car. But, it does take away from the driver experience a bit. Where the Corvette has electronics to aid the driver, but the driver is still very much involved. I agree with the review in that I would take the Stingray over the GT-R because of the better driver experience. And Scoty, you really pulling the, " it's just a Chevy" card? Well the GT-R is just a Nissan. What's so special about that brand? |

Wow...what the hell am I saying. An LS3 C6 has already gone 11.718 bone stock, with a trap as high as 122.
In the right hands, 11.5 @ 123 will be achieved. Purely speculation, but there's no reason the C7 will be slower than any outgoing base C6 in any way. |
