Definitely appreciate engineering, size, weight and feedback they provide in the world we live in today but simply put they are not that small either compared to older models as you state. Boxster/Cayman is a large car compared to Miata which is a true resemblance of the yesteryear in my opinion and an excellent value.

Get the BS for now and the vette later
I've been debating this for a while. I currently have a 981 Cayman S. I've only driven a C7 z51 once, I was impressed. Both have their attributes. I am still confused to this date, but I've decided the c7 will be my next move.
Given the high likelihood of the NA flat six being replaced by a flat four turbo by model year 2017, I'd say get the BS for now, keep it for a few years and then get a C7, its V8 is not going anywhere for a while. |

http://www.edmunds.com/chevrolet/cor...son-test5.html Cayman S wins. Outcome would be the same with a Boxster S. Corvette is more brute force compared to the precision weapon a Cayman/Boxster are. |

This is tough, IMHO the Stingray is the best bang for buck on the market, full stop. it's a remarkable car. I have long lusted for a Boxster, i love drop tops and one with power and agility is ideal.
I'd probably go the Boxster S, because if i am taking mountain roads or any kind of twisties, i want the agility you said the vette was lacking. If i am tracking, take the vette. I feel for you though, tough freakin life, I too am torn on a purchase decision, do i go with the $60 hose reel that hides the hose or spend $20 more for one that swivels and less people complain about? You're killing me. |

Thank you all for your feedbacks and opinion. I thoroughly appreciate all your comments and insights. Seems like a split decision between the two. I was leaning more towards the Vette, but when I look at the porsche, its just a beautiful thing to look at it.
I wanted something thats a great cruiser with descent speed, and maybe a head turner I am gonna check out the Vette first but if that doesn't work out, then I am going towards the porsche, i will have fate decide haha |

I won't say it's as much of a chick car as the boxster. Not to many cars match that level. But it's not somthing I would drive. Would rather take the corvette. Sexy looks, wide stance, v8 growl. That's more on my level.
