What's more annoying is when you're not on a passing lane and a car behind you insists on tailgating you until you move so they can pass. All that is happening while the other four lanes are free and you're not on the "passing lane"...more like the "middle lane" of the five.

I literally just drop two gears and let off the throttle to piss them off enough to move. I speed back up when I start getting dangerously slow. Rinse and repeat.

Just there 2 weeks ago and boy was it infuriating.

It is illegal to not keep right in New Jersey unless passing. So it is illegal to hog the left lane. Cops don't bother with ticketing but lately signs have been posted all over the highways that state to keep right unless you are passing.

People still don't seem to be able to read....

Yes. I've experienced these geniuses too. Being that most of the time these self deputized enforcers of the road can't drive, I can usually pass them without too much effort even when I had my Focus. With my 135i I don't really worry too much about these losers trying to keep me from passing. But what I do is purposely cut the pass real close. That usually freaks them out and they back off and get the drift.

This reminded me of a story one of my friends told me. His brother was driving at the time. Some jerk was tailgating the crap out of him. His brother turns to my friend and asks him if he's securely strapped in. Before my friend could respond, his brother stomps on the brakes locking up all four tires. The tailgater freaks out and swerves his car to the right into a ditch on the side of the road. His brother then proceeds to keep driving. My friend looks back and all he could see was a big cloud of dirt.

California isn't really that bad. The people going "slow" are still doing 75 (flowing traffic does 80-85). Washington is certainly pretty bad, drivers going 60 on the dot feels like a CRAWL.

HOWEVER........ Oregon has the absolute worst freeways in terms of timid drivers that can't make up their minds.

I jndesprstand left lane is for faster cars, but if there is even a faster car behind you all you have to do is move to the right or go faster, right. What do you guys do to make a 60mph car ,over so you can go 80 mph? I've tried everything and people just don't get it. Is this just loaded on some guys when born and not on others? What's the problem with these people? I have had the answer, You can go faster than the speed limit and this is the lane for fast cars!!!! Daaaa??? Really. People don't move to the right to let you go, why?

I do the Toronto to Montreal drive pretty often and get super annoyed at the people cruising in the left hand lane going 90km/hr in a 100km/hr zone...even when you flash your headlights at them to move over they don't. That forces you to pass from the right which is just malarkey.

I worked with a guy that had this mentality of not moving over to the right to let cars pass on the left. He overall is a good guy. Does a lot of community stuff but I was shocked when I heard his attitude about this directly from his mouth. He said he loves driving in the left lane at the speed limit of 55 and pissing off everyone who is trying to go faster. When I heard this, I didn't know what to do. Whether to give him a piece of my mind about this, punch him to know some sense into him, or just remain quiet. I ended up choosing the latter.

That kind of mentality on the road is unacceptable, clearly the guy has issues

It's all cars really, yesterday I was at a stop sign and a woman in a brand new Porsche Cayenne at the oncoming stop sign went and swerved into my lane, then swerved again into my lane and almost hit me because she was staring at her phone, then after she got back into her lane she started looking at her phone again and continued goign all over the road. People like that should have their license suspended
