Honestly, to the beginners, what would you say is the one tip to share? I went for a walk with a friend who's now divorcing and we were trying to figure out what we two would say is the most important tip. He said it would be letting go. I said it's to stay close.

Man, I love stuff like this. It's nice to see strong families and relationships when the media is making that seme like it's abnormal/antiquated.

Very well said!!! Heck you'd think divorce and or living together without a commitment is where it's at. Our youth are very impressionable. They should be able to see that long term marriage is not only normal but very special.

2 words, young man:
"Yes, Dear" You are free to improvise with the tone of voice you use while saying these 2 words, but as long as these 2 come out of your mouth, things will go well. But NEVER forget the 3 magical words "I love you" Can NOT be said often enough. |

I knew we had snapped a couple pics of dinner:
We both had Ribeye with a couple of sides and a cake that was beyond delicious! It was called the Texas Pecan Cake. I could enjoy a slice of this weekly!!!

During my "Adventurous Bachelor Lifestyle" days, I was out one night at one of the areas most popular Salsa Clubs. I had already had "great success" at this particular spot. So I was on my usual prowl when I was approached by this guy while at the bar enjoying a drink and surveying. He said he was with his girlfriend and her friend wanted to meet me. Well, being the over confident guy at the time, I kindly declined. I never was too keen on blind dates or hookups. So he said, "It's cool. But she is very sweet and hott." And as he turned to walk away, I said hang on. No harm in meeting her right? So when we walked up to their table, both women were hott! And when my now wife stood up and introduced herself (which was impressive in itself! You know, not all snobby) I was awestruck! She had a gorgeous smile and very friendly demeanor. Shortly after talk and a drink, she asked if I could dance. Uhhm... YEAH! So she said, "we'll see." After about 40 min of non-stop salsa dancing and sweating, we returned to the table. She was like, "I'm very impressed! I thought you were just another cute face with no dance skills". LOL!!!! We exchanged numbers and the rest is history. We dated about 14 months before I proposed and married @ 6 months later.

I was half expecting for you to say that they stood up for you at your wedding and are your best friends now. I don't know why. But I am glad the story has a happy ending for you and your bride
