Ah, yes. Idk how I forgot the SS. This would probably be my pick among sport sedans on the market right now. I almost bought one a while back. I did. Further up. |

Among the new brands, I don't think I'll even consider buying a new car because none of them seem interesting. Well, I'll probably go Alfa Romeo for the 4C. Most other interesting cars are either too expensive or are unjustifiably marked up.
If we can buy used, it's LOTUS or a Boxster Spyder (2011 or the current one) all the way. |

Nowhere, I would be done with other car brands.
Nowadays theres nothing that really gives me the thrill like my ///M does. Yes an M4 will definately come but with no hurry, no rush. The state I'm finding myself in, is called content, very rare state in an car enthusiasts life. |

If I had to replace the E90 with an equivalent , I'd go with an ATS. I'm keeping the Z4 forever.
But with my commute, once the E90 is beyond economical repair (and I can do some serious DIY) I'm looking at an electric. The Chevy Bolt is high on my list as the next DD. I can live with a Bolt as a DD and the Z4 as my throwback real car.

If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

Tesla or Porsche (Cayman). I'll be watching the online Tesla 3 release next friday at 830 pm. I agree with many other posters stating BMW does not currently make a car that interests me, whereas in the past they ALL interested me and it was hard to choose just one. Sad.

After four BMWs I went with a Porsche. I'm now waiting on a delivery of a new STI. I love the Lego and manual fun factor with the STI. If I can't wait for the delivery I'm going to grab a Ghibli S which is the complete opposite of the STI but seems interesting to me in other ways.
I like sampling cars for a year or two and then move on to something else. Why anyone would only stick with one brand is unusual to me. Sometimes I think about getting an SQ5 and murdering it but I haven't owned an SUV for 10 years and I'm not ready to go back yet. Luckily, the wife drives multiple Lexus' so I've driven enough of those that I never need to sample one again. haha

I did move from a couple of BMW's in a row (2011 M3 and 335is) to a non BMW (2016 Mustang GT)...just wanted to try something different. I definitely want to get back to an M, but beyond that I would lust after a GT3...but that's probably a pipe dream

No where near the topic. lol
But on a side note, I love the pic. I got a 1987 Grand National in the garage, awaiting a motor. I digress.

Point is, could the body handle the suspension upgrades? Or would you have to spend a ton reinforcing both the body and frame? I had no idea people figured out how to get these beasts to turn. Either way, they're getting expensive. |

CTS-V Coupe Camaro SS 1LE C7 Stingray/Z06 Mustang GT350R I think these cars have handling nailed, which is what I loved about my last one (before the BMW). Big freaking engine up front, handling to back it up, endless fun on the roads. BMWs are passenger cars first, but the above cars are about the experience IMO. Would maybe consider M5, 911S, and a few others, but the cars above are the "drivers cars" IMO and after a few years of fun driving engagement, I think I'm missing that and I want it back. Mainly, a big wide car with a big/powerful engine set fat back and low with great suspension and huge beefy brakes. |
