Haven't been on the bike in a few weeks because of a sinus infection and a local mountain lion terrorizing my local trails, haha.

Riding a Santa Cruz Nomad XX1

Sweet!

Still riding flats, as in you aren't any longer?

I was contemplating a Tallboy before the prices of the SB4.5 dropped.

Just paint a face on the back of you're helmet, should keep the cat from ambushing from behind.

Just ride with a slightly slower "friend". You get to ride still and no worries about the kitty.

Since moving to NH I get asked why I have a bell hanging under my seat. I say it's a bear bell and get the "what?" response. So I say again a BEAR bell. For BEARS. "Oh......" There are bears on the mountain behind my house in MD. Not going to be chased by a bear. Turkey OK....bear no OK. I ride a trek fuel ex with mavic wheels. 26" for life.

How do you like the pedals?

I just switched to these from more of a spd style. Loving them so far. Quick to get out of, easy to get in. Big enough to ride un clipped.

I am enjoying the pedals. Don't have much to compare them to in terms of being clipped in.

You should tread lightly when using the word "pumped".
