I have zero interest in being part of Apple's ecosystem and I don't think there's anything special about my wife's iPhone 6s (the 7 is not a revolution from the 6s) ... my reaction to most iProducts that I've played with is "meh" and not worth the proprietary hassle.

^ There is and the Android folks are happy to chime in there as well... It does amaze me how folks can't simply enjoy what they have without having to crap all over some else's choice. There are a lot of great phone choices out there and just like with a car folks choose what meets their needs.

I usually only post in iAnything threads when people say things that aren't true. I have no general interest in poking iLemmings' bubbles for no reason. But, the iPhone fandom in this thread is annoying because it's just not warranted. Apple products suit people used to using Apple products because it's comfortable. By any other objective measure, Apple is a significantly anti-consumer company that deserves no praise and none of my business. i don't care if the iPhone 7 is better than the iPhone 6s, it's not quantitatively or qualitatively better than products from many other manufacturers and I won't patronize a company that treats consumers as contemptuously as Apple does. In other words, please don't direct a post at me that suggests I should buy anything Apple. NOT INTERESTED .... EVER!!!

No, not really. Because I actually think that Android is the third best phone OS in the marketplace. WP10 and BB10 are vastly superior to both Android and iOS, but are impractical for other reasons primarily relating to apps. I am not devoted to Google or Android, simply choose the OS provides the best balance of what I need and want.
I usually measure my comments in Apple threads to be respectful of those who see value in iProducts. This being an Android thread, I feel no such need for self-restraint. I despise Apple's arrogance and think they impede the evolution of the marketplace in the interests of the consumer. I think all of you who buy their products do yourselves a disservice, but it's your choice. |

If you're a Samsung user...I'm just going to say there's a ton of things that Samsung just did right. Things I've taken for granted on my note edge.

So...it's not labeled as water resistant, but there's a bunch of videos of people putting these under water with no issues after 30 minutes.
Just sayin' |

Mine came in Friday. Coming from an iPhone 6, and before that a Samsung S3 (running some old version of Android I forgot), this thing is pretty sweet. I just swapped over my Verizon SIM card to use until my current service period ends then I'll try Project Fi.
