As a 17 year owner of 2 different E30 M3.. i am sure I speak for many E30 M3 purists..... it's not an EVO anything conversion once the vehicle becomes a CAITLYN after a motor swap
http://www.bimmers.com/m3/spotter/specials.html#evo2 Love the car... overall it looks great.. nice mods.. but the Bimmerpost article title is wrong... slapping Evo II parts on it along with other parts and paint color that are from a different BMW generational models make it decidedly NOT an Evo. Another minor correction... the car appears to be painted Sakhir Orange.. an F8X color and also has been on the M5 and M6.. the 1M is Valencia Orange. That said.. once again.. very nice build.. I almost S54'd my second E30 M3 but then I bought a 1M instead. Last edited by M3 Adjuster; 08-01-2017 at 04:48 PM.. |

Wow, what a high quality build. Wondering why you went with very cheap tires though?

PETLAS Velox PT741 Fronts 205/40/17 Rears 245/35/17 Tires Many Europeans favor wide dished out rear wheels on the E30 M3 like these OZ racing wheels, also MK Motorsport wheels. Accordingly, OP went with a 10" wide wheel and maxed out the tire size. The 245/35/17 tire size is an odd tire size that is not made by many manufacturers. At one time i was considering trying it and Toyo and Continental were pretty much the only brand name ultra high performance /max performance tires available in that size. The 205/40/17s up front are ridiculously skinny in comparison. I believe that tire size is typically common on 7-8 inch wheels on japanese cars along with 215s. With wheel widths 1" wider in the rear (as opposed to a square setup) as well as the chassis limitations of front tire width.. this car is much more ready for straightline or show car duty as it will understeer HORRIBLY (ask me how I know) with a 40 mm stagger front to rear on a chassis that came with a square setup that needs camber. For better twisty road performance, let alone track duty.. beefing those front tires up to a 235/40/17 would be the hot ticket especially with the added weight of the S54 on the front. The 245/35 rears really look awesome and probably really are needed to put that S54 M powah down ... |

Bimmerpost needs more lead "news" like this. We come here because we're car lovers, not because of BMW monthly sales figures or the new i47sdrive M365ixdrive M plus touring trim package with iDrive and digital arm rest display plus individual tanzanite bronze yellow.
Can we have more enthusiast cars like this shown please?

Great looking car. The E36 in Estoril Blue is my personal favourite...are those 850i wheels? I enjoy the E30 and the history - great car, awesome build. Love the colour. You have a great looking stable.
