Nah because even if a Chinese restaurant is owned by a Chinese person, 90 percent of the workers are usually Mexican so it evens out. theoretically, the Mexicans could overthrow the Chinese owner if they wanted to. That’s actually how you get Mexican restaurants.

This guy and all his buddies in the media and D.C. only have careers because they keep fanning the flames of racial tension. If we all got along they'd be out of a job.
Where is his protest of the NBA or NFL for not having enough of my fellow Indians? We can do things outside of IT too you know. |

While it's hard to agree with the tactics here, there is no question BMW has a growing problem.
The association of BMW with racism has only been growing. Unfortunately the association seems to be based on reality. I have been hearing about prominent defections from BMW because of the shitty culture at the company. Of course in our own microcosm our own Scott felt free enough to spew racism here along with his usual attacks on the diehard BMW fans. Twitter banned a prominent BMW social advertising account for racism. No one acts like that unless he is sure there would be No disciplinary action or there is outright support for his racism at the company. Why does this matter. Regardless of if you believe racism is just speaking the truth or a bad thing, there is no way a modern company can function at a high level after being marked as a racist entity. Quality people, especially in engineering come from all different places and any professional organization can only be concerned with the quality of work. BMW must take this very seriously. While peopl in the industry are hearing the whispers of what the company is about (with quite a few quality people leaving as a result) having this spill into the public sphere may have irreparable harm. Finally the old saying that you can tell everything about someone by the friends they keep also applies. You look at the characters who are vocal in support of BMW in this matter, all of them are very extreme in their racist ideology, hurts BMW greatly. All of these issues coupled with BMWs lack of focus on what the us market wants (drivers cars) seems to say the future in our market looks dim.

Huge difference between an actual corporate culture and the kind of quota-counting that Mr. Jackson is citing. Calling a company 'racist' because they don't have enough minority owners is just another form of racism, and one that will undercut the legitimate complaints. Every bigot in the world turns to this type of politically correct BS as 'proof' that there isn't really an issue; those who consider themselves real equal rights supporters would do well to forcefully separate themselves from it and call Jackson on his race-baiting tactics. Sadly, those corporate injustices that you mention will likely be covered by all this smoke screen, so that most people will think it is all about how many blacks own a dealership (the cynical among us might even suspect a bit of intentional diversion....).
