Just to set things straight, the interior might look cheap and dated, but the dash is all leather wrapped with real stitching. So it isn't cheap plastic.

Well since we're still on this subject I may as well say that if this was priced in the $70s or $80s(the most I can afford), I'd buy it with no regrets. Its for weekend enjoyment, not daily driving. Not only is it fast as hell straight line, but isn't it also very fast around the track?

just the opposite of a lot of cars, that one is no show and all go. I think just one stomp on the right pedal would make me forget what the interior looks like. but for 117k I would rather have a zo6 and 40k in the bank.

The interior will be a slightly better version of the 4LT package you can get for the C6 which is pretty nice. It's done by the same group that does interior work for MB and Maybach among others. GM did a great job with the ZR1. It's a mean looking car with supercar speed and a nice interior at 120K max.

That 0-100 time is quicker then a Zonda C12, 599, MB SLR Mclaren or a Carrera GT and just a couple ticks slower then an Enzo for at least a couple hundred thousand dollars less. Even though the 1/4 is 11.3 make no mistake about it, it's a high-10 second car in the hands of the right driver. People were running 4 -5 tenths quicker then GM's Z06 time of 11.7 right off the showroom floor so don't be surprised if someone posts a time in the 10.8-10.9 range. If they are crazy enough to take it to a track.

Oh, the over/under for a thread of "I smoked a ZR1 with my 335i" is 60 days after the first one hits the road.

Here's the top 20 factory cars 0-100 according to Torquestats with the ZR1 inserted. Pretty impressive company it keeps or beats.

Maybe they can put a better interior in it, but then it wouldn't be $117k... It's give and take.

The interior is nice in this car. It is completely covered in leather with nice contrasting stitching. It comes down to opinion and styles that you like. Even if it were covered is super nice leather, there are still some who won't like the interior anyway. I wish they would make the interior leathers optional like Porsche. You have a choice if you want to spend an extra $18K on a full leather interior (go ahead and price up a new 911 and you'll see how expensive the interior gets).
This car is going to ROCK for sure. Nothing for $100K is going to touch it, NOTHING.

Oh, an since we're talking about parts bin sharing, the Ford GT uses the European Focus steering column.

Some above also posted that they'd take a (gasp - U.G.L.Y.) GT-R Spec V for this kind of money. WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'RE GOING TO FIND A SPEC V FOR LIST PRICE?!?!?!?!?

Come up with a better argument than that plz. Yes the ZR1 looks sick, but performance wise you have no clue what the Vspec will be like. It's lighter(300-400lbs) and has more power. If it's priced the same, its up to the buy to decide. Personally, i'll pick asian engineering over american.

The V-Spec will be a stripped out car as compared to the ZR1, yet it will still weigh more than the ZR1.

The V-Spec will ride far harsher than the ZR1 and would be difficult as a daily driver.

The V-Spec will still retain it's butt ugly bloated GTR form.

The V-Spec will have less power, less torque and less soul .

The V-Spec will not have the advanced dampening system or an advanced chassis like the ZR1 and certainly will not have a tough and proven manual.

The V-Spec will still struggle to crack into the 10sec and over 124mph trap speed stock.

The V-Spec will struggle agains the ZR1 at anything over 60mph and definately gets clubbered on top speed runs.

The V-Spec will still rely on how fast and how competent you are at pressing multiple button, so if your not a gun at video game then good luck.

I owned a C6; was a nice car with a cheap looking interieur.

I am shocked to see now, that interieur in this 100 grand plus car hasnt improved a lot. Long way to go Chevi...

I love the $100k comments ----- about American/Japanese cars.

I guess European cars are the only ones worth paying over $100k for........

Less soul? Are you a buddist? So a Corvette has more soul? Why?

Unless you have a V-Spec at your house, you don't know shit. Go ride a kangaroo.

I'd take a GTR over a ZR1. I think GTR will turn more heads on the street than a ZR1. The common person will think that the ZR1 is just another nice vette.

Im definitely a car snob, hate the overwhelming majority of American cars, and am not a fan of the base corvette.

That being said, I love the Z06, and would seriously consider a ZR1 if I were shopping for a toy in that price range. This thing is batshit insane and, relative to performance, is quasi-affordable.

First mod would be a new steering wheel, though. In this car, I could deal with the illl fitting plastic and uninteresting, dated appearance of the interior, but I couldnt deal with the rental car steering wheel. Ridiculous nitpicking, i know, but my M3 wheel has me spoiled

Only making 2,000. GM dealers are probably falling all over themselves to get one, demand will be high, markup will be amazing.

Caravaggio offers a nice steering wheel upgrade for the C6/Z06

Everywhere else but America it would be the other way around. Australia has plenty of Nissan GTR's but not many Corvettes for example, it's the same with Europe and Asia.

+1 true dat...when I was in Japan last year, I tripped out when I saw a Corvette on the road. but R32, R33, and R34 GTRs were all over the place like how E46 M3s are all over the place in SoCal.
