I understand that theory but props to RyderSU for not doing it that way. I feel like it when it comes to older cars, everyone just wants to restore them. And maybes its because of my age (mid 20's) that I don't understand the nostalgia. Its refreshing to see an older car with modern looks and function (ie the touch screen).

There are two reasons for nostalgia:
Reliving the past
Appreciation of the past

I love the E30 because it was the bimmer to have in the 80's and 90's and the affection has stayed with me all these years.

I love the Porsche 356 because it harkens to a design when the sheet metal was simple yet elegant.

As a 20 year old, remember the cars you like today. When your 40, you'll be a bit nostalgic for those.

I am a big fan of modern resto-mod rather than just restoration. Only thing I'd have done differently is the colour, get more contrast going etc.

Ah, sorry it's my wife's car since high school. Didn't know the name of the wheels. We tried to keep everything original if possible. The original dash is under a boot since it's all cracked.

I'm not a Mustang fan, but you did an amazing job. The only thing I don't care for are the wheels. Everything else is bad ass!! Well done.

I will agree with bad choice of wheels. Just drags down the look it has.

But I simply don't get black wheels at all. No matter what brand you buy, no matter what style you choose, no matter how much money you put into them... it still looks like someone stole the hubcaps, and you are too lame to replace them. Kind of a "you can never unsee it" thing.
