I also learned some physics today

Each car has kinetic energy K directly before the collision. At the end of the collision, both cars are at rest, and the total kinetic energy of the system is 0.

So if I'm correct about the law of conservation of energy that energy can neither be created nor destroyed; rather, it can only be transformed from one form to another.

Though I'm not sure how it works if one party is at rest and the other moving.

Correct In technical terms the kenetic energy is converted into 'elastic' potential energy - same way that you use energy to compress a spring and it springs back; the energy is used to deform the metal - but it doesn't spring back.

Also, a lot of energy is released in the form of heat.

As for if one party is moving and another is at rest - no change. Just less kenetic energy to begin with being transferred into both cars.

Kissa is fine and annoying as hell, Rabies Alfonso, the children's dog is the sick one!

Sorry to hear - probably difficult to remove her from your life too for the kids sake.

I had thought it was Kissa with the dietary issues - but hope Rabies make a comeback (that sounded odd)!
