Diesel Cayenne’s have 100k Powertrain warranty. Resale is and will continue to be strong I bet. Diesel cars/suv/trucks have a loyal following for obvious reasons. With no new offerings the used market should maintain over the next few years. Purchases are always a personal preference, but I wouldn’t even think twice between these two. Porsche for the win.

Yep, one tank of junk diesel fuel or contaminated diesel fuel could be very costly to repair.

If your are DIY type owner then go with the diesel. If you wear skinny jeans and TOMS then get the car with a warranty.

Test drive them both before picking. Also check out a used Lexus NX 300h AWD.

Based on reviews coming out for the Signature spec CX5, I would definitely take that over a used, diesel Cayenne.

I'd also look at the 18' CX5. It does not have the new signature trim, but most of the quirks had been sorted on that model, it has a nice interior for its price and somebody else took the depreciation hit.

Yeah that is true, but I would want all the good stuff thats in 2019 model. At this point if I come across new Cayenne, I'll buy it. If not, maybe I'll wait for a used 2019 CX5. Will see.

I am leaning toward Cayenne though. Always wanted Diesel and Porsche. I know its probably not a wise purchase but this might be my last chance to own something nice
