I'm going to have to say Colgate......they're our dental office's tooth paste supplier, so I'm biased. But heres the general rule, coming from a family of dentists with our own practice, just get something with flouride, peroxide, and remember that flossing is most important!

Nothing makes your mouth feel as clean as a nice floss. But I never do it because I'm lazy as hell.

Used to use Tom's of Maine

I hate that super sugary saccharin flavor of most toothpastes.

Recently switched to Rembrandt (~4 months ago). Haven't noticed any difference.

The Tom's of Maine Whole Care stuff seems to work OK. I've not have any cavities since I began using it years ago. My trips to the dentist are short and sweet with very little drama or scraping. It contains fluoride, claims to control tartar with zinc citrate and is a whitening toothpaste (silica). If you're curious, go to tomsofmaine.com and check out their products.
