And while I'm on the topic of the Shat and vinyl we had at my college radio station...

This was on a vinyl album that was distributed to radio stationswith public service announcements that were designed to be transferred to tape cartridges for airplay.

Does the pumice stone wear away at the fabric; as if sanding the fabric away?

No, it is very gentle, you just use it to brush up the hair like you would use the mit, you don't apply an enormous amount of pressure. This is a longstanding detail trick used by many pro detailers.

I use a kitchen scrub brush with stiffer bristles - rub circles in the carpet and the hair will all come up.

If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."
