I concur on Civic Si's, Acurta RSX-S, and Scion Tc's trying to race every expensive looking cars on the road. Since lot of young ppl drive those, ( I'm young too btw) they just think they are invincible all the time.

I don't race them. I kill them

Don't underestimate these guys. Our cars are way nicer and valued higher but when it comes to straight lines in power these b18's and K20's can really make power. Since they've been in development for over 15 years now. But it'll never compare to the e90/e92 our cars are just plain sexy!!!

from a roll we are dead even and its a drivers race. an si has no chance unless it has i/h/e then it changes into another machine and can stay with my bmw from the right roll mph

+1 Those rare breeds with the 20k+ to put into those Honda motors take pride in beefing up those motors to take down Bimmers, Porsches, etc.

Woah! Only 5 grand...I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Me and 3 friends slotted a JDM Integra Si H22A Motor into a 92' Accord Coupe. For under ~2k we have a car that runs the 1/4 in the low 14's. It was frustrating knowing that my 328i has difficulty keeping up with the lower budget project lol.

Untrue. I still own a rsx-s . My car HAD the power to hit mid 13's which is not a major accomplishment imo.

Hell.. my STOCK e92 is quicker than my MODIFIED dc5. lol.

I do love the dc5 for mpg tho! You can't beat 31 highway mpgs. One of the reasons i decided to keep it as a beater.

They Si's are great cars for the money with honda having such a high resale value and how reliable and economical their cars are. But in no way do they compare to the build and quality of that found in a bmw hence the price difference.

arent those little things suppose to be quick? i had about 100 pounds worth of stuff in the trunk as well

(race conducted on a safe blvd and no cars were hurt, other then the civics pride)
You paid at least 2x for your car, you have 2 extra cylinders and 3.0L vs. 2.0L...and you beat him by 10 ft... Yes, they are stock fast...

a civic si tried to race me the other day. i'm not gonna ruin my 300-mile not-yet-broken-in engine on such hooliganism.

he probably didn't see the M3 badge on my trunk or fender vents.

wait, doesn't the SI let out something around 200 horses.... the 328 ~ 230hp, civic si is persumablly lighter, especially with your 100lbs of trunk cargo....

I'm impressed the 328s can do that....
