Nope wrong, not anymore. And you're completely missing the point I was trying to make , move along bro. In this day and age, the BMW brand is so far diluted and watered down, that if you are truly looking for anything with real BMW d.n.a you need to look at the M line.

I believe the brand has been "diluted" since 1973 when BMW open their first manufacturing facility outside of Germany in South Africa.

LOL at this ad copy. Where is NAFTA? the US isn't a part of NAFTA right now.

This plant opening is just in time for Tariffs.

If they stay in place. .. BMW will really be unhappy, and so will prospective BMW buyers.

Build quality won't matter when the price is unreasonable.

that's because things are only improperly installed in the U.S. , South Africa, and Mexico. An improper install is impossible in Germany... ?

your story makes as little sense as the advice you were given by the dealer.

How did the handle get installed improperly, make it past QC. Be specific, Which door handle? interior or outer?

If the part was replaced.. how was it installed so improperly that it stayed in place... didn't fall off... and didn't attract ANY attention until the day you got the item? I could believe parts being not installed correctly and needing to be RE-INSTALLED.. but if the part needed to be REPLACED.. then the part was either bad to begin with (and install had nothing to do with it) or the person installing the item somehow also BROKE it in a fashion that was not noticed by anyone until you got to the car.

You should do a better job hiding your bias. Hey it's a win for Mexico no denying that, great for you

But the majority don’t want to pay an additional 10% ; )
BMW doesn’t want to open in a heavy union country.

When asking about the Mexican build G20, my dealer said the cars are mostly built by robots. He seemed to emphasize that very strongly

There is a difference and it’s in the details. My f85 had a crooked windshield roadside service sticker. Annoying. Especially on a 100k truck. It only takes an extra second to make sure it’s marginally straight. Would not happen in Germany. A robot does not fuck that up. Maybe it’s the cheap liquor is SC (I kid I kid).

All of my Mexican VWs had turn signals (mirrors) that were semi faulty and loud under dash relays that liked to click like a switchboard. Lots of the plastics (rear view mirrors especially) are produced in Mexico and they felt brittle and cheap. All of his means nothing; mass produced vehicles just have more issues since they’re, well, mass produced.

Real ///M cars need to be produced in Germany. Forget that they cost 5x more it’s just the way it should be. My f80 has an odd front left clunk and f90 has a random dash gremlin but all the stickers are neat and straight!!!!

Might want to check again NAFTA is still in affect , the new deal USMCA has not taken over yet .

I've never understood the logic behind where the car is made. It's about the parts made not where it's made in my mind... the parts are all the same.
Huge issue with origin where it's made. Attention to detail to those that are not. Would you want a car built in Japan or one in China ? And the same goes for goods as well. Quality over quantity, I would never ever ever buy a car from Mexico.

They won't pull out. Would taxed way more. That's what car builders are doing now. Having multiple plans throughout diff countries to avoid transport costs and taxes. Example Ontario built beater 2011 civic and I believe Honda has a plant in Kentucky and Toyota Illinois or vise bersa.
