RWD, and a 4 cylinder turbo making near 300hp is a great starting point. The biggest downside to the Giulia is the low levels of aftermarket options and the questionable reliability after the 40k mileage point. In my opinion, BMW wants way too much money for a base 330i when there isn't much different than the previous F generation aside from gimmick features. They've become bloated, heavy, and packed with useless features. The M3 will probably always be king as far as midsize sedans go, but the 330i segment has a lot of competition now. Even Motortrend recently called the Giulia the modern 3 series. I genuinely hope the next generation Giulia doesn't get pulled from the North American market. |

When I cross shopped my 340 to a Guilia TI sport Alfa wanted more money down and the monthly was higher by about $40 per month.
I got a better deal on my bmw and i liked the guilia enough that if they could have matched or been lower I probably would have went with it,

I got mine for $2600 and $365 including tax out the door. Would've been $2000 down, but I got suckered into shelling out extra for this blue color. In my opinion, totally happy with the extra $600 lol. I'm in love with the color |

The one I was looking at had the adaptive suspension, upgraded 19inch diablo looking wheels and was also a Q4 (awd). Idk what options you got but I see yours is RWD, I think that’s like a 2k difference in price alone. It’s cool though, I really wanted a manual which was not an option on the guilia so I guess it all worked out Has it been reliable for you? That was another concern I had about the Alfa.

The AWD I'm sure would hike up the price a bit. I was just looking for a close to base model car. Can't really speak on reliability though, haven't even put 300 miles on the car yet lol |

Comparing now to fall 2016, the lease payments on the same 2 series would be 13% higher, due to a 5 percentage points worse residual and a two-tenths of a precent APR bump on the money factor. Before the recent interest rate environment pointing towards cuts/drop in yields, the APR was even worse. You can peruse various Edmunds lease threads and leasehackr threads to see how deals have generally gotten less nice in the last few years.
After their epic C&D long term test bomb, Alfa really has to juice their lease offers to get people moving |

Good move in part of BMW to stop heavy lease program subsidizing. This will ensure better resale value for these cars and limit availability to those who can truly afford them new.

The only reason I got the new 750i over the 5 is they were giving them away with incentives. The new 5 and especially the M5 is hotter right now so no need to discount.

I agree. you water down the market when everyone can get the car. I'm not sure why BMW just didn't make the MSRP in line with the lease rates. Was it just to fool lease owners into thinking they are getting a good deal so they'd sign up ?

BMW lease programs aren't as good as years past, but they're far better than MB, Audi, and Porsche.
If the Fed reduces rates further, we should see an improvement in BMWFS's MF as well. But .00145 is very competitive today. Residuals are better or inline with competition as well. |

I remember when lease rates and MF were posted on these forums. Doesn't seem to happen anymore. The leases were way better up to about 7 years ago when everything started to change.

Tell you this much, regardless of what the lease rates are, I will always choose to LEASE a new BMW instead of BUYING one.
