Honestly though, I would like to get into using the old school straight razor blade shavers.
Now that is what I call shaving.

Sorry to resurrect my old thread (it was in 2008). FYI, I just joined Dollar Shave Club. I'm a happy member of $6 per month shaving club!! Cheap and works good!

I just signed up yesterday. The only thing I'm thinking though, is I don't shave that much lately, so I have a feeling I'll have an accumulation of blades after a few months.

I don't shave that much either. I get bad irritation if I shave with a razor every day. So I tend to shave on Monday with a razor, and use my electric for a few days, then maybe shave again on Thursday or Friday with the razor.

You can downgrade the plan to only have them ship once every other month. That's what I do and it works just fine.

Didn't know that, thanks for sharing. I'm going to update my plan then, because I'll be lucky to use all 4 in two months, too.

That about sums up my routine. I still really like the Cremo shave cream, and I just recently bought my second tube even though the first isn't empty yet.

i actually just placed my first order with harry's which is DSC main competitor. heard that their quality is much better than DSC. got the starter kif for $10 which includes the handle, shave gel, and 3 blade cartridges. iv used electric shavers for my whole life but figured i would give the blade a try.

I've heard good things about Harry's as well. Buddy of mine swears by them.

For me, it's not really about the razor either, but the shaving cream... I use C.O. Bigelow (in the green giant toothpaste tube-like thing), and man... I use Fusion myself, but even a shitty razor feels like you're having a hot chick grabbing your face and ferociously making out with you cuz she wants the D like... NOW. The lather bonds to your skin so it doesn't feel watery, and the shave is amazing. However, I stick by my 6 year-old Remington Titanium electric most days since I'm masochistic like that... Not to mention I don't feel like heading to the mall just to get another tube .

Oh and for teh ladiez: I do happen to manscape... Except I use a cheap razor and Barbasol; the thought of using the Fusion after it's been on my 'nads is a bit disturbing.

Am I the only one who doesn't use shaving gel or cream?

I bareback that shit. Little bit of water to rinse and that's it.

I don't shave with razor. I use a clipper, whether i'm doing it my self or at my barber.
Razor will give me razor bumps.
