Stay safe!
Haha, a friend gave it to me a few weeks back. So I figured what the hell. I read fiction (murder mystery) at night before I go to bed. My husband always asks if he should sleep with one eye open

Thanks, we dodged another bullet down here with Sally so all is good! Hope you are well, I know it's been a rough go the past weeks.

Ahhh, I didn't know it was sarcastic. I will look into both. Thanks!

In self help? Or getting lost in fiction? I do enjoy getting lost in fiction, that's why I don't read self help books.

The Red Rising Series was also great! We have a similar taste in books it seems! What didn`t you like about book 4?

Will check out Bobiverse and the Off to be a Wizard series after i finish my current book.

If you would like a suggestion, check out NPC by Jeremy Robinson (if you haven`t already)

Somehow confused the Fear Saga with the Carl Saga by Hank Green earlier. I listen too to many books. Fear Saga was very good and I want me a Skalm

Right now reading "Gideon's Spies: The secret history of the Mossad" by Gordon Thomas. Fascinating look into the world's top intelligence agency. Reads like a novel but all true. some really crazy stuff in here.

I can't seem to grasp how they cast Tom Cruise at Reacher in the movie

Enjoy!
A couple of them are slow. The best one I have read is "Worth Dying For." Nonstop action and beatings cover to cover.

The voice change up in book 4 was more than I could handle. The woman's voice was unbearable for me. I will check out NPC as that is not one of the ones I have listened to. The last one I would recommend is the Hell Divers series. I started listening after I found out the author was a kid that graduated in my class, but being narrated by RC Bray didn't hurt either.

Did you read Dan Brown's other books? Angels and Demons was better than the Da Vinci code in my opinion.

I'm so excited! Nelson DeMille has another John Corey book "The Maze" due out in June. Maybe, just maybe, I can get it in time for girlie beach week.

I finished up "A Wrinkle in the Skin" not too long ago. Post-apocalyptic stuff that wasn't half bad.

Currently have "The Last Open Road" on the nightstand. Met the author, B.S. Levy, at Petit Le Mans a few years back and got him to sign it and all that. Quite the character to have a beer with. I forgot I got the book (reference beers) until recently. Time to pick it up!

I also picked up "The Right Stuff" and "Yeager: An Autobiography" for my dad for Christmas. Ended up getting the 'Rona and didn't make it up there. Maybe I ought to tear off the wrapping paper...

Thank you cmyx6go

So like I had mentioned in the other thread, I've just started The Art of War, and so far I've been very much interested. Not only through the value in the text, but also for the through the fact that is has furthered my vocabulary (which I believe it quite important in a professional sense - to be well spoken is a great trait). I'm young, but have been fortunate to find myself in a solid position not only within our company, but within our industries technical community. (Not bragging, rather giving background pertaining to my goal to help tailor responses suited to what I am looking for). I deal with both technical related issues as well as the financial side of our operation - typically as follow: Initial Customer Conversation -> Bidding/estimating -> Engineering/Design/technical outreach -> Project/Program Management. My goal would be to find myself in an executive position further down the road which I believe is feasible (with hardwork & perseverance) if I continue down my current path.

I'd say I have solid business sense, but no formal education (yet, I'd like an MBA soon). My goal would be to further that as much as possible prior to seeking formal education in that arena. We are lucky on this forum to be surrounding by some that have been quite successful in their career, and my intention would be to pull from those with the years of experience that I lack.

After that drawn out explanation, finally the questions: What books have you read that have helped further that type of growth? Are there prerequisites to certain reads that you would recommend? Appreciate the help!!
