I have an e46 next to an e30 in the garage and they're within a couple inches of each other. Always thought they'd stayed pretty consistent over those 3 gens.

However if I pull the e92 in as far as I pull the e30 in (based on the front wheel), it sticks out the door opening by ~4-5 inches. E92 is 3" longer than the e90, fwiw.

I drove a CTR and was amazed at how large it was. It was as big as our F30, which also felt huge. I've been the same size for about 30 years now, why do I need my car to get larger?

To each their own. I love the way my civic feels, but I also love the way my BMW feels. It's two different ways of driving sensation. You're missing out on a lot of fun if you haven't driven a VTEC engine with some power
I have driven the TypeR, no doubt its fast, but its not the same sensation of driving, it lacks the playfulness of even a Focus ST which i also owned, they have their positives and negatives, but personally, i prefer feeling im being pushed from the rear with some playfulness and control, rather than pulled with an assurance that the understeer will save me (full disclaimer, Type R would wipe my car of the map, but this is more about sensation rather than ultimate speed).
I guess I meant more of an old school VTEC. Like the integra type R. Or the ek9 type r, or even the em1.

The current regular Civics and the SI are under 3,000. I think the Type R is right at 3,000. Honda does a good job keeping weight down.

If the Si can be had without that hideous rear wing, that might be a solid option for the next daily driver.

Geezus. It’s like the dick swinging contest in the numbers game the main stream manufacturers are playing has migrated to the styling and sizing of their vehicles.

But what so far looks like an atrocity may be forgiven if the next Type R is made AWD and weighs less than 3200lbs....

The only problem daily driving something like this is getting revved by other bro-racers. I'd rather be in something inconspicuous yet still fun to drive.
