Also, the proper competitor for the CLK is more likely an S5 or a 650i.

I think the E90 can look really hot and it can look really aweful depending on the color and the wheels, especially the wheels they make a big difference (oh yea and blacklines I hate the stock tails.)

Nevertheless, I'm a young guy and don't see myself inna Benz until a few more years

BMW is/was making an SL fighter called the Z9 in the future (based off of oooold info. who knows what happened to that now). The 6 is based off the e60 5 series chassis (hence the codenames e62/e63), and the CLK is based off the E-Class chassis.

the CLK uses the C class frame while the e92 is using the 3 series. The models offered by Merc and BMW is not on a 1:1 ratio. I'd say SL is a competitor for Z8/Z9, the CLK - > e92, CL -> 6er

The pricing for the two cars are a little off as well which is why I thought the e63 was a SL competitor. Base price for e63 is somewhere around 77 where as the base price for a CLK is around 50K or so. I believe the base price for an SL is around 90K so the 6 series would be right there in the middle. And the fact that the e63 comes base in a v8 and so does the SL, this is pertaining to US cars. Sounds like they are making a true roadster to compete with the SL. |

Top of the line (non M) 3 series (335) starts at $42k base no options Bottom of the line CLK350 starts at $48k no options. The CLK550 starts at $58 with no options. With every single option the E92 isnt really even $58k list. (not including the vert which a CLK vert is way more. The CLK is kind inbetween an E92 and the 650.

I've always hated creased bumpers on any car, whether it be an Acura, Cadillac, MB, etc. Just plain uggg...llly not to mention the rest of it looking; well kind of gaudy IMO.
