Thanks Dan.... I ended up watching the uploaded re-play so nothing was missed. It was boring but nice to see there was a replay

I watched it also. I felt that we didn’t miss much with them talking about values of 20+ year old M cars. I like to drive my car not have it be a garage queen.

Hi everyone, I don't check the forums like I used to, but I'll try to answer as many questions that I can regarding the M Chapter. As with everything else, starting this chapter during a pandemic is tough, but we believe we've made some great strides for what we offer M chapter members.

We've partnered with the BMW Performance Center for exclusive M Chapter benefits which include M Chapter Days at both Greer and Thermal locations
https://bimmerlife.com/2020/12/19/m-...m-partnership/
https://bimmerlife.com/2021/02/27/m-...e-center-west/

As of now, all of our events have been free webinars, and we've had some great ones:
Jackie Jouret (BMW & M1 Historian),
Larry Koch (former M and Motorsports manager)
Mike Renner (BMW Performance Center)
Simon Lord (Redux Building the Ultimate E30 M3)
Hagerty's M Track Report (future M valuation)

We have 2 upcoming for CCA Club Racing Intro and Eric Keller (EAG) this month alone. Our M Chapter member's only Facebook page is where you can find more information, our Events, and where most of us hangout.

Our first face-to-face event will be MX1 in Greenville next month and we've gotten overwhelming support thus far. This event is an extended weekend designed for M and X enthusiasts, although all BMW fans are welcomed to join. Our Sunday M Chapter Day sold out shortly after it was announced, but there's still plenty to do with planned events at the BMW CCA Foundation, BMW Performance Center, and BMW CCA Headquarters. See link for a complete schedule:
https://mx1.bmwcca.org/

We also have several caravans setup around the country to get you to Greenville for a great time. All BMW CCA members are welcomed to join, just RSVP to the route leader and you're all set:
https://bimmerlife.com/2021/02/20/mx1-caravans/

Hopefully, once we're past covid, the plan is to host regional M chapter events around the country, as well as, continuing webinars, and co-host other M specific events for members. Anyone wishing to help us continue to build this chapter, please reach out.

Awesome pseto! your hard work is appreciated. Wish I hadn't missed the Renner gig but didn't know this existed. I have two very good/close friends that are performance center / M track day driving instructors. I always enjoy hanging with the crew down there...just wish I could afford more visits

Looking forward to what the future holds

very cool, I know a few of those guys too. They never seem to want to swap jobs for some reason though

Since you've been to the Greer location, you can always join us at Thermal in December; that's a REAL road course!

I am active on Bimmerpost but mostly on the M2 side of it. Paul thanks for pointing me to this thread.

I'm part of the Board as the Chapter Vice President. There were some questions about joining. You can add M Chapter as your primary if you haven't been a CCA member before or you can add as a secondary chapter. I was up until a few months on the board of my local chapter and also on the M Chapter board. I encourage you to have both since I also enjoy participating and also lead a few event for my local chapter (Autocross and a Monthly Lunch meet). If your local chapter doesn't have many events you can always lead point on getting some events running.

Like Paul said, we started the chapter roughly 11 months ago and it has been challenging during the pandemic but we have many Virtual events that went pretty good and had great feedback.

Below a couple link to some of them:

Larry Koch event video:

BMW Performance Center partnership video:

Simon Redux video:

We have been working on getting additional benefits for M Chapter members since most of them have it as a secondary chapter and we wanted to offer that bit more in addition. The partnership with the Performance Center is a very solid one and we will have the first event at MX1 like Paul described also.

Paul, Matt (one of our chapter Governors and myself will be leading caravans to MX1. There has been info posted in different CCA media about this.

Feel free to contact me with any specific questions you might have via email!

Thanks for the new info. I had no idea about the MX1. I'm currently scheduled to pick up my M240i at the PCD on the 12th.

Sounds like you should join one of our caravans and come in a few days earlier!

I joined yesterday since I was renewing my Chapter membership, but I suspect I just threw a few extra bucks away.

I try to check every couple days. Key is including your member Id so it can be confirmed against the roster. I believe I added everyone that was pending, if not PM me.
