What's the torque split in the R8?

Like 90/10 (that's what was said on the Audi Channel the other night).

I'm not sure, I think it's 15/85 in normal driving but up to 30% can go to the front. So effectively this is a rear wheel drive awd car and requires a different approach to a normal Quattro which sadly most of the people driving them come from.

...really??? I thought it was more like 35/65 or 25/75. I could easily google this but I'm lazy.

Wow, that's aggressive.

I actually think I'd prefer the R8's AWD system over a traditional RWD setup. You can quote me on that, Footie .

Best delete it before T Bone sees it. You will end up being excommunicated.

AWD in some conditions gives the driver the feeling of being in control until it is too late and they completely lose it...that may be the case here.

I never understood why someone would spend so much money for a car with no heritage.

VW tried that with the Phaeton. The R8 will be long gone before long.

Like Audi's rally history and Lemans wins? The long lost Auto Union type D? There is heritage.

And DTM and ALMS. What's BMW done lately, other than 1 lucky F1 win this year and WTCC last year?
