The 370Z is every track enthusiast's dream come true.

Here are some random pics I found on another forum of the 370Z with different rims photoshopped.

The car is shorter and lighter, which will aid performance, and the roofline is visibly different. However, there are two problems that will probably carry over: 1) Buzzy engine at high revs (Infinity G37 is characterized by this), and 2) If you drive this car in a cold climate, the 6MT will balk at the 1-2 upshift until the trans warms up. If you manhandle it and succeed in pulling it into 2nd, the syncros won't mesh and it will grind. The 350Z was my 3rd MT Nissan ('93 through '07), and they all did it. The Z is an incredible car but I would never buy another one unless I move to a warmer climate.
Have you tried changing the transmission oil to Redline oil?
I have heard good things about it in minimizing the balky 1-2 shift.

Finally someone answer the OP's question.

First ten posts must have been women. All they care about is looks.

Does anyone have the official weight figures. Rumors are it is much lighter, with more power.

More of a drivers car than the 350Z.

There are only two trims now -- "370Z" and "370Z Touring".

Then there are two available packages:
- "Sport package", which gets you the SynchoRev, and better brakes (see below), VLSD, aero package, 19-inch wheels,
- "Navigation", which gets you nav system w/ real-time traffic, iPod interface, 9.3GB music box hard drive

Wheelbase: 100.4 inches
Curb weight:
MT - 370Z - 3232 lbs, 370Z Touring - 3278 lbs
7AT - 370Z - 3269 lbs, 370Z Touring - 3314 lbs

Horsepower: 332 hp
Torque: 270 lb-ft
Brakes: The sport package gets you: 14-inch 4-piston front, 13.8-inch rear, 2-piston.
Coefficient of drag (front): 0.29 (sport package)
Weight distribution % F/R: 54 / 46

Only 270 torque? Wow that sounds very low with 332hp.
Is the 7AT dual clutch? (Yeah right, probably not lol)

I think it looks great....its slowly looking more like the GT-R. And it is pretty powerful...its a competitor whether some of us believe it or not.

I would never buy one, but it's one of the many new cars I want to check out at the LA Auto show this weekend.

I, too, think it looks good! At first, I didnt really like the headlight.. but it grew on me~

How much is it? the MSRP wise? If it is more than $40K MSRP, I'll pass and still get a 335 (or whichever 345/350i in the future) for just a few K more.

Wow it does! I've gotta 'shop that inner front bumper so it's blacked out. Gimme a sec.

Edit: Much better imo. The fangs mess up and overcomplicate the front.
