Just got my test results:

total test: 690 ng/dL
free test: 19.5 pg/mL

"Adult male reference interval is based on a population of healthy non-obese males between 19-39 years old."

reference interval for total: 264-916
reference interval for free: 6.8-21.5 -per Labcorp

I'm 46. I'm very happy with both numbers, especially the free.

So, are you still gonna buy all teh supplements?

I'm 55. I had a test last year, was somewhere in the 700's for total T. Can't remember the free.

Yeah, Redtube . . . nearly every single day.

Must be all that vitamin D laden Southern CA sun

I'm in the normal-high range for total and high free range so I'm satisfied and will continue popping pills like jujubes.

If boron is good enough to deal with a nuclear powerplant meltdown, it should definitely help with ED.

Pron users are funny, since the vids they watch have gotten millions of hits they assume most men must also use it. I'd say more men aren't using pron these days, but who knows could be 50/50. I avoid pron completely and have done so for over 5 yrs now. I find the use of it doesn't wreck you mentally at first, but slowly over time. Good luck to you if you're not able to abstain, but for me personally, life, workouts, my relationship with myself and wife are much healthier without it.

There's one supplement I use to take that does help with sperm production called ZMA. Otherwise at 42 I feel great as long as I eat well and workout at least 20 mins - 1 hour a day and of course get plenty of sleep and sex. Never tried TRT but if it gives you the drive I had in my 20's I'm steering clear….

GLTA!

I disagree with this statement. The body's reduction in testosterone is most likely a way to reduce oxidative stress in response to various stimuli. It's similar to how hypothyroidism reduces the cyclic replication patterns of Plasmodiums. Or how epigenetic shifts occur because of increased oxidative stress. If you increase testosterone and don't do anything to decrease the oxidative stress, negative sequelae will occur. People don't talk about the increased chances of Erythrocytosis, polycythemia, nocturnal hypoxemia, or the increase in cardiovascular events, but TRT can cause all of those.

If I were wanting to increase testosterone levels, I'd make sure my zinc levels were adequate and I'd take tribulus and ginger. I'd also work on increasing the quality of my sleep as hGH is released at night based on sleep patterns.

Man I love ginger root when I feel like I need it… such as seasonal changes when my energy levels are off, same for Cocoa Nibs… those little bastards keep me energized all day, in a way that feels natural.

Also for T levels, make sure you're maximizing your leg workouts - really mix things up with your leg routines - there's alot of T locked up in there….

Yes, particularly squats, the most universally hated exercise.

Been using ZMA for years or maybe decades at this point. Along with melatonin, I'm able to get that much needed 6-8 hours of quality sleep.

Legs and lats, the big muscles that will affect metabolism/hormone levels the most.

^I didn't know that about lats but it makes sense. I always keep my lats strong via weighted pull-ups - my lats/shoulders/chest are my strongest muscle groups. With biceps, triceps and firearms coming in 2nd.

Squats and I'm finding that 35-50 lbs dumbbells held perpendicular to my traps provide a great substitute for traditional heavy squats when I can't get into the gym.
