We have ~140 employees at work. 24 of us have been buying for $2 per the last couple weeks. I just don't want to have to close the door!

Wife/I play a lot. We do better, and are more entertained, by scratchers. If nothing else, I get several good walks to the corner store when the wife gets a hot scratch.

I've played maybe 5 times total. Even if it is a tax on the stupid, I'll spend $2 to let my imagination run wild. That in itself is a stress reliever...there are much more detrimental ways of throwing money down the drain and people do it on a daily basis without thinking about it.

Maybe, but I find the high before the drawing is offset by the low when you inevitably have to go back to work.

My grandmother played religiously every drawing my entire life until she died about a year ago. She never won more than a couple bucks here and there. My mom and many other family members play when there's a big jackpot, because you know it's totally worth getting in the car and driving to the store to get a ticket for a billion bucks, but they ain't lifting a finger for a measly 100 mill.

I don't play. If I could buy it on amazon I might buy one for shits and giggles, but get in the car and drive to a store? Fuck no.

Sorry, but I am a social being. Sitting on my sofa, clicking my shopping list and then walking ALL THE WAY to the front porch is not my style. Never used Instacart (choose your service), been going to the store all through Covid. As a bonus, the store near our new home here in Greenville has it's own brewery so you can grab a pint and drink while you shop!

Ok true when in NC I've been to the grocery store, although my gf does most all the grocery shopping. Here in FL though she signed up for that grocery delivery at the very start of covid and I guess she found she really doesn't like going to walmart so she never canceled it.

Can't blame her, I'm certainly not going to walmart. Now maybe if we had a grocery store with a brewery down here... but we don't... so I skip the grocery store all together and go straight to the brewery!

All of your "friends" come out of the woodwork, plus relatives you didn't know you had. Not to mention the relatives you know, all asking for money.

So you might get a bit generous with some of your very close relatives and/or real friends. Then others find out and get jealous... and pissed.

Then you also have to guard your money and guard what you buy. Then you have to hire guards. And on and on.

I've always been lucky - but I genuinely believe that winning a massive sum of unearned cash like this would be more of a curse than a blessing. That's the benefit of growing up with money and around wealthy people I reckon.
