By any chance did you run the car thru a sweetwater carwash?

i traded my wifes jeep in today and ran it thru the carwash on sandlake rd and they had the tunnel applied tire shine. when i got to the dealership, i noticed that yellow spots on the fenders. i didnt try to touch it as i didnt want to bring attention to it in their parking lot.

but i wonder if its a coincidence or the culprit

I have taken it to one of their other locations but not that one.
It wasn't the car wash as it happened on my way back from a weekend getaway and the car was fine prior to it.
I ended up having that section only repainted. It looks perfect and I'm very happy with it.
Thank you.

You could try prep-sol. If it is petroleum based it should remove it. They do make plastic safe prep-sol as well. As long as there is no ppf on the area it will be safe.
