Great list. I'll make sure to avoid all these. My days of watching movies to be depressed are over. Sometimes one will sneak in there, but I try my best to avoid them.

Anything with dogs for me... Just watched The Art of Racing in the Rain and pretty much sobbed like a baby through the whole thing.
Hachiko. Lassie, Hidalgo as well although it was about a horse. |

Actually this is same for me too, except I usually feel a lump in my throat but never actually cry. Although I did cry last night but it’s totally unrelated. Lol

I hear ya. I didn't cry but genuinely felt sad for the hybrid alien in Alien Resurrection.

There was a Twilight Zone episode I watched when I was a kid called "In Praise of Pip" starring Jack Klugman as the father and Billy Mummy as young Pip that had me tearing up. Very touching for any father or son.

How has no one mentioned the Pursuit of Happyness...when he gets the job at the end. The entire theater was crying.
More recently Top Gun Maverick when Maverick saved Goos' son at the end |

I get a bit emotional with scene in Forrest Gump when Lieutenant Dan arrives at Forrest and Jenny's wedding.
The other is Finding Forrester, at the end when Over the Rainbow by Isreal Kamakawiwo'ole is being played, that song gets my emotions every time.

I'm pretty stoic, more apt to mist up occasionally from music, but the ending of Jojo Rabbit chokes me up a bit every time I've watched it.

Added music as a source.
Not crying but it's sad and suffocating thinking about how he describes life in Bitter Sweet Symphony. Wonder what kind of world it would be without greed and money?

Two others that make me cry, you might not expect these:
Glory, when Matthew Broderick's regiment attacks. Midway, when we attack. This was the greatest generation, before they were the greatest generation. Attack against all odds, with no expectation of surviving. Such bravery…… |
