What am I depressed about... Hmm.. I have different levels of this "depression", but if you're talking about your level, I don't have any. I was once in that state, but I managed to straighten that out by fully dedicating myself to change.
Although, I'm not exactly sure why you're depressed. You did say "because society will never accept me", but that could honestly be anything..acception varies from culture to culture as well--if you're really in LA, I'm very curious as to what it is about you that society can't accept because I've practically seen everything in LA.. o_O |

I basically feel like I have no control and make poor eating choices. My weight gain is a result of trying to hide myself and not get attention from people. I guess I have acted dumb but I don't learn do I?

So your depression is from the fact that you're overweight?

Sorry if I'm to make quick judgments, but honestly, if anyone's to at least point you in a direction, we need to know what it is exactly that's making you depressed. I don't want to be the one to tell you to do this or that, but I'm curious--and there are probably plenty of places in SoCal that could help you.

In all seriousness, Im in really big trouble, I mean think of the most embarassing things. I have a long list, what can I say? Who can I talk to? Why would I be lying, spending my days on the internet and lying to people for what--there is nothing to lie about the truth always comes out

OP, since you've been depressed for months now and nothing seems to be working, try this. For everything you do, decide what you are going to do via your normal decision making process, then do the opposite (within reason). Keep going to your shrink. Run this idea by your shrink and see what he/she thinks.
E.g. if you're wondering should I stay inside or should I go out... the depressed part of you will almost certainly decide on staying in. Overrule that part of you that came to that decision and go out anyway. Give it a try, if you're not happy with who you are, try being someone else for a while. |

We're not saying that you're lying or making anything up--as you can tell there are some very concerned people on here because depression isn't something to tease someone about--but, honestly, this isn't the place that you should be coming to for help.

Well life is how you make it. That's how I live my life. I'm more of an optimist (of course I know when I need to be realistic as well), so I try to see the brighter side of life, which includes going out as much as possible, keeping myself busy, meeting new people, etc. etc. Of course, I do give myself some solitude to give myself some time to myself to think, but it's not what i do all the time. I gotta go now, but I hope everything gets better for you. Everything can be okay...but it's how you make it.

how old are you? whats so embarrassing? small dick?
whatever! go to the gym lose that flubber, and hit on some hotties while your at it. sitting at home all day is not going to help you. join some sport teams, anything to get out into society. its not society thats not accepting you, its you thats not fitting into society. ie. if you like eating people, and the rest of the world doesnt, does that mean society is not accepting that? or you are just fucked up? i dunno man, theres no reason to be depressed! you live in the states LA to be exact, there is way worse places to be. you could be drinking water from a fucking bucket, living in a mud hut. you always have summer, hot days, beaches, hot chicks, fuck what else do you need man? its -20C and cold as shit her, i wish i could have summer all the time. if your depressed when its nice out, id hate for you to live through winter. gloomy, and cold for 4-6 months! you drive 50K$ cars, and probably live in a nice place. grow up and stop acting like everyone hates you. life is unfair, get over it. |

He has a point though... there's much worse than the OP's situation.
The OP just needs to stop feeling sorry for himself. To OP, get to the gym... take a cardio kickboxing class... if you're really hungry snack on a banana or some almonds... maintain a good diet and limit yourself to maybe one cheat meal (something like pizza or a cheeseburger) to once a week. Most important, stick to a plan, regardless if it sucks donkey balls. To kickstart everything, pick up a copy of Men's Health. I did all this and was able to lose 20 lbs although I am not done yet... I was at an average weight for my size but I want to push myself for that "perfect" weight. Rewards are much sweeter with more sacrifice put in. Don't worry about what other people think either (within reason). |

I'm not telling you to run away from your problems, but take some time away the surroundings that are making you depressed. Take a vacation somewhere out of the states, and out of your comfort zone. I remember going to Egypt last summer, and it really made me appreciate life a lot more.
