Going to Mexico for spring break. We’ve been going for a few years now in march and during the summer.

The small town we stay at sometimes has the military posted outside on the highway to check for “suspicious activity”.

FIL knows what roads not to take. Just need to be back at the house an hour or so before sundown!

The British Virgin Islands are pretty amazing, especially if you can island hop via a multi-bedroom catamaran or yacht.

We’ve been going to Puerto Penasco (rocky point) for 15 years. We drive down there. It’s a 4 hour drive from Phoenix. It’s much safer there than anywhere in south Phoenix.

I’ve also been to Juarez, TJ, Cancun and Mexico City.

I would drive thru that Brownsville crossing tomorrow and feel completely safe. You would probably get an armed escort wherever the hell you wanted to go if you’re an American with helicopters, etc. if another American is killed down there anytime soon by the cartels they will lose their economy. Now is the best time to go to Mexico
